BIG LEAP Project Celebrates its Kick-Off-Meeting
The BIG LEAP Project Kick-Off Meeting, hosted online, brought together 16 partners on January 30, 2024. The consortium comprises partners from 10 European Member States and two international partners who have officially launched the BIG LEAP project, an ambitious 3.5-year journey funded under the Horizon Europe initiative.
Over the course of 42 months, BIG LEAP aims to introduce advanced Battery Management Systems (BMS) that enhance compatibility, connect 1st Life Batteries with 2nd Life Battery Energy Storage Systems (SL-BESS), and make batteries more adaptable, thus strengthening their value chains.
This project aims to achieve the next generation of Battery Management Systems (BMS) to improve interoperability between battery chemistries and architectures and enhance the operational reliability of second-life batteries, thereby extending adaptability and empowering battery value chains.
