Bigleap2026-01-09T13:57:08+00:00The first BIG LEAP Project Community of Practice Event was held on 9 December at University Mohammed VI Polytechnic – UM6P, bringing together project partners and invited experts for a day of technical exchange focused on digital approaches for sustainable energy storage.
Co-organised by RES4Africa Foundation, UM6P, and Masen, the event provided a collaborative setting to share expertise and align technical approaches supporting the development of innovative and interoperable solutions.
The programme addressed key technical aspects of battery management systems, including open and interoperable BMS architectures, state-of-charge (SoX) and remaining useful life (RUL) algorithms, cloud-layer BMS development, and the role of digital twins in design and performance. These sessions offered participants practical perspectives on the integration and development of digital energy technologies.
A collaborative workshop, interactive discussions, and dedicated networking moments supported constructive feedback, knowledge exchange, and cooperation among participants, with both onsite and online participation.
This first Community of Practice Event represents an important step in strengthening collaboration within the BIG LEAP project and advancing joint work on innovative digital solutions for energy storage.
